Justin Timberlake weighed in on the casting of Ben Affleck as Batman in the Man of Steel sequel by declaring that he would make a great Riddler according to E! News.
Timberlake spoke to radio station Fresh 102.7's Jim & Kim Morning Show on Tuesday. The 32-year-old Sexy Back singer voiced his confidence to Affleck. The Argo director has been inundated with backlash since his casting of the iconic comic book character made news last week.
"Ben Affleck as Batman, I like it," he said. "I worked with Ben last summer and I've seen his process. I think he's a brilliant filmmaker. I think he's an extreme talent so he could surprise a lot of people," he said.
Timberlake laughed at the idea of him playing Batman's sidekick, Robin. He said there was no chance in hell.
"I ain't playin' Robin. I have no aspiration to ever be a superhero in a movie. Now VILLAIN! Ill tell you the villain I want to play more than anything because I grew up loving Batman, funny enough, is the Riddler. The Riddler is my favorite villain," he said.
The Suit and Tie singer added why he felt that the Riddler was a role he could sink his teeth into.
"The Riddler was like a sociopath," he said. "He was proper crazy. So if I'm gonna play crazy, I'm wanna play proper crazy."
