Justin Timberlake wrote an open letter on his website hours after his MTV Video Music Awards performance, Us Weekly reported.
Timberlake delivered a memorable 16 minute long performance at the Barclay Center on Sunday. He performed some of his hits such as Cry me a river, Mirrors and Suit and Tie. He also briefly reunited with N'Sync during the set. The former boy band group belted out Bye, Bye, Bye before Jimmy Fallon awarded his friend the Michael Jackson Video Vanguard Award.
Timberlake thanked his fans for supporting through his boy band success and now solo fame.
"The last time I wrote you an open letter, it was in January and I promised that it would be a 'Big 2013.' Since then, from The Grammys to the release of the first part of The 20/20 Experience to the crowd's response at the VMAs, it's been a wild ride. I hope you've enjoyed it as much as I have," he wrote.
Timberlake wrote that there was more to come. He plugged his forthcoming album, The 20/20 Experience 2 of 2'. The disc will be released Sept. 30.
"Since all these songs were written together over a year ago, it's been so hard to wait this long to release them. I can't wait for all of you to hear The 20/20 Experience in full," he wrote.
