'General Hospital' News: Kirsten Storms Marries Brandon Barash And Expecting Daughter

General Hospital star Kirsten Storms is not only expecting her first child but she is secretly married as well.

On Tuesday, PEOPLE reported that the GH star who plays Maxie and her former co-star Brandon Barash had secretly wed in June. In addition, the couple were expecting their first child in January. Both announcements came as a surprise to fans, but Barash said that they couldn't have been happier.

"We're having a little girl in January," Barash said. "It's been the most amazing couple of months of our lives."

Barash said he and his 29-year-old wife kept quiet about her pregnancy since the first trimesters are usually difficult. This was particularly true for Storms who has battled endometriosis. He revealed that she had a very rough first few months as she was in and out of the hospital.

"We talked about wanting to have kids and Kirsten was told she could try hormone therapy. It was pretty bleak as far as the probability of her being able to get pregnant ... but then we got back from a trip to Amsterdam and discovered we were expecting. We calculated that we conceived the baby in [GH star] Tony Geary's guest room!" he said.

Storms thanked fans for their well wishes on Twitter.
