Simon Cowell and Lauren Silverman: Alleged Girlfriend Of 'X Factor Host' Settles Divorce With Husband Andrew

Lauren Silverman has settled her divorce from husband, Andrew, TMZ reported Wednesday.

The site said that the warring couple agreed to joint custody of their 7-year-old son, Adam.  Additionally, a source said that Lauren will receive $2 million and continue to live in New York so that she can be close to her son. The resolution of their differences comes weeks after Lauren was linked to X Factor host, Simon Cowell.

In July, Us Weekly reported that Cowell  impregnated Lauren despite her being wed to his friend, Andrew. Lauren is allegedly more than 10 weeks pregnant with Cowell's child.  Andrew was described to have been shocked by the affair.  Andrew named Cowell as the other person in his divorce filing.

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while," a source said. "As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."

Another source said that Lauren and Cowell have been in a relationship behind Andrew's back for more than four years.  The fling between Cowell and Lauren turned into a full fledged affair because the Silverman's marriage was a rocky one according to Lauren's mother, Carole Saland.

"The marriage was not made in heaven," she said.
