Adrienne Bailon slammed pop superstar Britney Spears for not being able to hold a conversation.
Bailon, one of the hosts of The Real, was engaged in a dialogue about child stars who had gone astray on the Aug. 5 edition. The Cheetah Girls singer labeled the 31-year-old as having endured the "ultimate meltdown." Bailon, also a former child star, discussed her interaction with Spears when the Toxic singer was a judge on X Factor earlier this year.
"I worked with her on 'X-Factor.' Not gonna lie to you guys, I would sit to do my interviews with Demi [Lovato]. I did, like, the behind-the-scenes stuff. She can't hold a conversation. They have someone who feeds her what she's supposed to say. She can't hold a conversation," Bailon said.
Spears suffered a very public mental breakdown in 2008. She shaved her head, partied excessivley and was even hospitalized after a psychotic break. Jamie Spears , her father was granted a conservatorship over her personal and financial decisions. The conservatorship is still in place and there has been no decision made as to when it will be dissolved.
One of Bailon's co-hosts, Loni Love, said that the personal turmoil that Spears has endured was partly due to karma for her actions. Spears was the other woman in her ex-husband Kevin Federline's relationship when they became romantically involved in 2004.
"Miss Britney Spears took a dude that was already with a girl that had babies," Love said. "And sometimes when you do that kind of stuff and take a dude, that's called karma."
