Oprah Winfrey has commented on two controversial women who have made the center of controversy, Lindsay Lohan and Paula Deen.
Winfrey was asked about Deen and the fallout surrounding her use of the N word by AJ Calloway of Extra Monday. The media mogul weighed in on the heels of her telling Parade magazine in their July 31 issue that she could not be friends with any person who used that word. Winfrey did not express surprise over Deen's usage.
"Everyone's saying, 'What do you think of Paula Deen!' Oh my god! I don't have anything to do with Paula Deen. She is not the first white lady to use the 'n' word! Good lord!" Winfrey said.
Winfrey has also shared her thoughts on Mean Girls actress Lohan to Calloway. Lohan will be appearing on OWN for an 8 episode documentary and an interview with the 59-year-old mogul that will air Aug. 18. She could understand why the star has had her talent dwarfed by scandal and stints in rehab. Winfrey pointed to Lohan's age as a reason why.
"I think the pressure that we put on young stars to know and be who we want them to be, I think it's almost impossible," she said.
The media titan also advised the 27-year-old star, who just left rehab, to avoid taking a trip to Europe during an appearance on Good Morning America Tuesday.
"Because, it's hard to go to Europe and not ... relax," Winfrey said. "It's hard to go to Capri and not have a Bellini."
