Simon Cowell News: 'X Factor' Judge Reportedly Expecting Baby With Friend's Wife

Simon Cowell is expecting his first child with his friend's wife according to an article published by Us Weekly Wednesday.

Sources confirmed to the publication that the X Factor judge is having a baby with Lauren Silverman. She is a New York socialite.

"She's around 10 weeks along," a source said.

The blessed time in both their lives is complicated by the fact that Silverman is still married. The 36-year-old is wed to Andrew Silverman who is not only described as a real estate mogul in NYC but as a close friend of the 53-year-old Brit. The source added that Lauren was estranged from Andrew and planned to leave him.

"Lauren and Andrew have been unhappy in their marriage for some time, and their divorce has been in the works for a while," a source said. "As their marriage deteriorated, she and Simon became close."

A rep for Cowell has not yet publicly commented on the matter. However, in an interview with AOL Music last year, the notorious bachelor said that he was ready to settle down with a wife and kids.

"I do really, really like kids, because I can talk to them and listen to them. The problem has always been how much time you need to devote to bringing up kids," he said.
