Jennifer Lopez wanted a job on The Voice but the show did not want hers on their show according to a new report released on Tuesday.
Sources told Page Six that the 44-year-old diva offered her services to the NBC singing competition. The Love Don't Cost A Thing songstress wanted to be a guest star on the June season finale. However, her overtures were turned down.
"She made a formal offer to be on the show," the source said. "They said no to that."
Additionally, the site also reported that Lopez wanted to become a mentor on the high rated show. She even offered to do that particular post in a recurring capacity but was once again turned down by the brass.
"When you submit yourself to be a performer, the show can see how [the fans] and ratings react to your episode. But, they said no to both," the source said.
Reps for Lopez did not comment on the story, but there have also been recent rumors swirling that the diva had wanted to find her way back to the small screen after leaving Fox's American Idol in 2012. She spent two years as a judge on the program.
