The Internet can be a rough place for reality stars. But one reality star is going to court over it.
Lisa Hochstein of "The Real Housewives of Miami" is suing a random woman by the name of Jessica Lederman for posing an untrue statement about her in a comments section of an entertainment site under a story about Hochstein.
Lederman posted that Hochstein before her "Housewives" days, worked as an escort and did soft-core pornography in Las Vegas. Of course this could never be true.
Hochstein responded to the comment, by a random person not connected to the show or showbiz for that matter, by saying that the claims are baseless and that the comments caused her to suffer "severe emotional distress" and damage to her reputation according to court documents obtained by TMZ.
Hochstein is seeking more than $15,000 in a settlement. A judge has yet to rule and hopefully will not rule on this case.
So you, a quasi-celebrity, was somehow made aware of a random person writing a comment about you on a website and you sue? Isn't being a reality star in America great?
