Country Singer Pregnant: Chely Wright Expecting Identical Twins

Country singer Chely Wright is pregnant with identical twins, according to reports.

The 42-year-old pregnant country singer and her 31-year-old wife and Director of Marketing at Sony Music Entertainment Lauren Blitzer-Wright will become the proud mothers of twins. The joyous news was announced Wednesday on Howard Bragman's YouTube show Gwissues.

"They are due in July but with identical twins you typically have to deliver a month early," said Wright on the show. "So, we're anticipating that I will be as big as a ... bus or A-frame house by June."

The couple, who wed in August 2011, said they "feel like God blessed us with twins." Wright, who came out as gay to the public in 2010 according to Us Magazine, explained that her journey to have kids alongside Blitzer-Wright has been an "experience."

"When gay couples have babies it's logistically a little different than when straight people have babies as we all know," she said.

"Even learning about the reproductive systems and how that works ... you learn so many things," Blitzer-Wright said.
