Back in September, "Girls" creator Lena Dunham was rumored to be dating Fun.'s guitarist Jack Antonoff and with the hipster duo STILL walking arm in arm, it was no surprise that Fun. would make an appearance on the "Girls" soundtrack.
Fun.'s lead singer, Nate Ruess, told Rolling Stone that originally their song was to be put on the album "Some Nights" but ended up not being included. That's when Dunham called on the band to collaborate with "Girls." Fun. then decided to rewrite the chorus for the show.
You can hear Fun.'s single "Sight of the Sun" during the second season of "Girls" which returns back to HBO on January 13 or if the anticipation is killing you, listen now!
On an unrelated note, Antonoff is the ex-boyfriend of Scarlett Johansson. The two dated back in high school and when their relationship came to a halt, the guitarist ended up writing a post-break up song about her. Careful, Lena! You might be dating the male version of Taylor Swift!
Can't picture Johansson and Antonoff dating? The picture may surprise you!
