Taylor Swift may currently be dating One Direction singer Harry Styles, but it appears that the two had a bad run-in romantically in the past! New reports surfacing claim 18-year-old Styles to be the boy toy behind Swift's latest hit, "I Knew You Were Trouble."
As Swift fans are well aware, the country crooner finds inspiration for her songs from her ex-boyfriends. When Swift's new single, "I Knew You Were Trouble" came out, fans were wondering who the 23-year-old was singing about. Now we know our answer....Harry Styles!
A source revealed to Perezhilton.com that "The song 'Trouble' is definitely about Harry."
Those closely following Swift's romantic flings will remember that the blonde was rumored to be secretly dating Styles before she became involved with Conor Kennedy over the summer. Reports at the time had placed Styles out and about with model Emma Ostilly...which quickly ended Swift's rumored fling with the Directioner.
"Taylor told Harry it's about him," the source continued. "She references flying around America following One Direction's tour in the song."
Contactmusic.com reports that Styles at the time had allegedly paid for Swift to "jet in and watch him in concert."
While the Styles inspiration hasn't actually been confirmed by Taylor Swift, it's easy to believe the song is about Harry Styles, especially with Swift's song history. Take a look at her song and "dating" history below:
"Speak Now"- suspected to be about Riley Howell.
"Sparks Fly" - suspected to be about Kyle McKinley.
"Dear John" - suspected (and pretty obvious) to be about John Mayer.
"We Are Never Getting Back Together"- suspected to be about Jake Gyllenhaal.
"Back To December"- suspected to be about Taylor Lautner.
