Hugh Hefner Marries 26-Year-Old Playboy Bunny Crystal Harris [PHOTOS]

Hugh Hefner is no stranger to love. In fact, the 86-year-old founder of Playboy is perhaps best known for spreading his vision of love around to the masses. That's why many were shocked to find that after years of dating at least three Playboy bunnies at a time -- including Holly Madison, Bridget Marquardt and Kendra Wilkinson -- Hefner has finally decided to settle down.

Hugh Hefner has been married to 26-year-old Crystal Harris, star of the sixth season of "The Girls Next Door," a popular show about the Playboy mansion and the life of Hefner's girlfriends.  

Crystal Harris met Hugh Hefner at a Halloween party in 2008. She was invited to attend to the Playboy Halloween party by a friend. Soon after, she had appeared as a "Co-Ed Of The Week" on Playboy.com.  She eventually made her television debut on "The Girls Next Door" the following year.

"Crystal & I married on New Year's Eve in the Mansion with Keith as my Best Man. Love that girl!" tweeted Hefner. Hefner tweeted several other times. His tweets seem sincere enough and reaffirm his undying love for the young model.

"The harpist and flutist did an amazing job last night. They played 'As Time Goes By' 'Because You Loved Me' 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow'...," tweeted Crystal Harris, adding, "... and 'Chasing Cars.' They continued to play through the night as guest arrived for the big annual NYE party."

Although this appears to be a happy ending in the making, the Hefner-Harris wedding almost never happened. "The New Year's Eve wedding follows Harris and Hefner's 18 month break. Fans will remember that the Playboy founder was supposed to marry the 2009 'Playmate of the Year' in a large 2011 June ceremony. Instead, Harris broke off the engagement just days before the wedding. At the time Hefner tweeted, "The Wedding is off. Crystal had a change of heart," reports iDigital Times.

It took some time, but eventually, Hefner and Harris were able to rekindle their romance. "Yes @hughhefner and I are back together. Yes I am his #1 girl again. Yes we are happy. Hope that clears up any confusion! Xo," tweeted Hefner, confirming that they were back together.
