Denzel Washington Turns 58: How Did The Actor Celebrate His Birthday?

Denzel Washington turns 58-years-old today, and the actor celebrated it with a trip to tropical St. Barts with his wife. The star of the movie "Flight" was spotted on the beach a few days ago with his wife of nearly 30 years.

Denzel Washington boarded a yacht, according to Star-Magazine, and went to a posh island restaurant to celebrate the actor's birthday. Russian billionaire Roman Abramovich is having a New Year's Eve party on St. Barts, but it is not known if the actor and his wife will be in attendance.  

Denzel Washington, a consummate family man, said recently that spending time with his family is more important than his acting career.

"Acting is just a way of making a living," Washington told The Washington Post. "Family is life. When you experience a child, you know that's life."

So how did the birthday boy make his marriage last so long?

 "Do what she tells me!" he told iVillage back in 2010. "Trust me, keep your mouth shut."
