"Boy Meets World" fans can continue to keep their fingers crossed for a Shawn and Angela reunion, but actor Rider Strong is now engaged! Strong, 33, proposed to his long time girlfriend, Alexandra Barreto, this past Wednesday.
TooFab.com got their hands on a photo of the engagement ring, and not only is it beautiful...but it's meaningful as well! The website reports that Strong actually made the ring himself! Barreto's new bling features three diamonds and a gold band.
So, who is Angela Barreto, the girl that captured the "Boy Meets World" stars heart?
Born in Staten Island, N.Y., Barreto is Puerto Rican and Italian. An actor, producer, writer and self described "drunk " (via her Twitter), Barreto has starred in "The District," "Summerland," and of course, "Pepper Dennis." It was while working in the short lived 2006 series (starring Rebecca Romijn) that Barreto met Strong. According to the Daily Mail the pair then went on to work together on a 2008 campaign video for President Obama.
Barreto later went on to make guest appearances in "Pushing Daisies," "CSI," "Without A Trace," "House," "Castle," "NCIS," and "Justified."
Alexandra Barreto and Rider Strong also collaborated for the 2011 short film, "Method." Director by Rider Strong and his brother, Shiloh Strong, the movie is about an actress who "takes her new role seriously. A little too seriously." Barreto wrote and starred in the film alongside Chad Crone.
Rider Strong has kept a relatively low profile since "Boy Meets World" ended in 2000. He starred in 2002s "Cabin Fever" and leant his voice to the character of Brick Flagg on "Kim Possible."
Rider Strong recently made headlines again when it was announced that Disney would be rebooting "Boy Meets World." The new series, "Girl Meets World," follows Cory (Ben Savage) and Topanga's (Danielle Fishel) 13-year-old daughter. Strong is not expected to star in the series.
