Ronnie Wood, the lead guitarist for The Rolling Stones, married theater producer Sally Humphries in London on Friday. Ronnie Wood, who is 65, married the 34-year-old with best man Rod Stewart at his side. Paul McCartney was also in attendance, but fellow Stones Mick Jagger and Keith Richards were not in attendance. (Charlie Watt may have been in attendance, but no one gives enough of a s--t about the Stones drummer to report on his whereabouts).
Ronnie Wood married himself to the Rolling Stones legacy in 1975, and Saturday's wedding to the former Ms. Humphries comes after Ronnie Wood finished his time on the Rolling Stones' latest tour "50 and Counting: The Rolling Stones Live" which is celebrating the band's 50-year history in the rock music business.
Ronnie Wood got married in pink socks, a lighthearted gesture for a man who has been to the altar twice already. Ronnie Wood married his first wife, model Krissy Findlay, in 1971 but divorced seven years later amid allegations of Wood's infidelity. Ronnie Wood married one of his mistresses, Jo Howard, in 1985 but divorced her in 2009.
Sally Humphries has been a close friend of Ronnie Wood's since 2003, when they met at a theater during one of his art exhibitions. According to The Sun, Ronnie Wood was quite pleased with Friday's ceremony.
"It was excellent, so great. Brilliant," he told the tabloid. When pressed on honeymoon plans he admitted they "haven't decided yet."
