A judge ruled on Thursday that Dennis Rodman must pay the $500,000 child support he owes, according to the former NBA player's ex-wife's attorney. Dennis Rodman was found in contempt of court for not paying child support, a judge ruled that he must pay the $500,000 in back child support.
The flamboyant basketball player, known for his off the field antics, was warned that if he did not pay, he would face jail time. Linnea Willis, the former NBA standout's attorney said her client was found in contempt for unintentionally paying too little after being improperly served with the documents indicating the child support payments.
"He's been complying with the court orders ever since he found out the correct information,'' Willis said, according to Yahoo! News.
The legal battle between Rodman and his ex-wife began in 2004, when Michelle Rodman filed for divorce. The ex-couple is still fighting for custody of their two children, and a trial date is set for January 24 to decide the issue.
