Bobbi Kristina Brown's Former Fiance Nick Gordon Arrested; Are The Former Love Birds In Trouble?

Friends of Bobbi Kristina Brown and her former fiance, Nick Gordon, are become increasingly concerned that both Whitney Houston's daughter and her adopted son, Gordon, are still reeling ten months after Houston's untimely death in February.

After calling off a controversial engagement to her adopted brother, Brown crashed her car near her apartment in Alpharetta, Georgia. The police say Brown lost control of her car, slamming into an embankment and a number of small trees. The first assumption was that the reality star was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time. But so far reports claim that wasn't the case. 

"The investigation revealed the driver lost control and the vehicle left Beaver Creek Road on the east side and traveled down an embankment," police said.

She walked away uninjured, feeling very grateful. "My# PersonalGuardianAngel thank u mom miss & love u mre u'lleverkno. Not A Scratch & ok Wow, PraiseGod @nickdgordon  #Serious  ChangeswithinME," she tweeted, thanking her mom soon after the accident.

Shockingly, Nick Gordon was arrested the same day for speeding. Alpharetta police spotted Gordon speeding at around 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. According to police, he was driving 82 mph in a 35 mph zone. Gordon was placed in the North Fulton jail but later released on bail.

"In a situation such as this, the department has a duty to take reasonable enforcement action to protect the public," a police press release said. A court date is set for Feb. 12.

Brown and Gordon publicly announced their split right before both incidents. "[Bobbi Kristina] and I are not engaged or dating. Just close like we have always been," Gordon tweeted, confirming the end of the engagement that was announced on the family's reality show "The Houstons."

"I think it has to do a lot with the family not liking Nick, considering he was a godson and then they became a couple. I'm sure there is a lot of, 'Would Whitney be O.K. with this?' going around," a source told Us Weekly. 

Family and friends have felt that Brown and Gordon have been in crisis for some time. Houston's daughter was seen guzzling multiple glasses of wine and slurring her words on the family's reality show "The Houstons." And she often partied following Houston drowned in a tub of scalding-hot water.

"[Bobbi Kristina's] life will be shattered," a source told Us Weekly at the time. Another source claimed she was having "a total breakdown... She is freaking out, uncontrollably sobbing. Everybody is worried."
