Halle Berry is trying to move forward with her life, and it starts with her trying to get rid of the location where a painful memory took place.
Berry's 5-bedroom, 5,900 sq. ft. Tuscan-style mansion has been finally been put up for sale for a cool $15 million according to TMZ. The estate includes a 1,400 sq. ft guest house, pool, spa, motor court and a variety of other extravagant details.
Berry was part of a vicious Thanksgiving Day fight that ended with Gabriel Aubry, Berry's ex-boyfriend, being arrested. Aubry insists that Berry's new fiancé Olivier Martinez started the fight. "You cost us $3 million. When you see the judge, you're going to tell him you're going to Paris or I'm going to kill you," Martinez reportedly shouted at Aubry according to People.
Prior to the altercation, Aubry was fighting with Berry in court over her request to move with their 4-year-old daughter, Nahla, to France. Martinez is a citizen of France.
Aubry's allegations are detailed in his application for a restraining order against Martinez, which was granted by the courts. Attached to the application are photos of Aubrey's face that show a clearly beaten and broken man. One of his eyes is completely swollen shut and is entirely black around the edges.
"This incident arose as a result of a fight initiated by Mr. Aubry when Nahla was delivered for Thanksgiving and Mr. Martinez attempted to have a discussion with him," an anonymous source told People.
Berry tried to keep the sale under wraps. TMZ reports that the starlet gave a prominent realtor a "pocket listing," or in other words, a listing that's not advertised, to prevent the news from leaking. Billy Rose, a broker at the high-end company The Agency, has a history with the house and helped sell it to Halle Berry when she purchased it from former owner Frankie Muniz.
