Selena In Emergency Room; Justin Bieber Waits Outside

Pop superstar Selena Gomez checked into a Los Angeles emergency room on Monday, causing fans to speculate she might be seriously ill or even pregnant. Fortunately, the 20-year-old singer was just undergoing tests to make sure she didn't have strep throat. A source told E! News that "her throat was bothering her." Also, her stepfather has bronchitis so she was getting a check-up to make sure she wasn't coming down with it, too.

Unbeknownst to reporters at the hospital, Selena's beau Justin Bieber was waiting for her in a black SUV in the hospital parking lot the entire time. The two are having an on-again-off-again phase right now, but were definitely "on-again" after the AMAs.

The couple also had a busy weekend after Biebs and Gomez stormed out of a dinner on Friday night and Bieber followed her home, where he was locked out of her place and spotted by paparazzi. The next morning, though, his car was in her driveway and the two apparently patched things up in time for the AMA after party. She also went to Scooter Braun's AMA after party with Bieber, where she was spotted chatting it up with Bieber's manager and K-pop superstar and viral 'Gangnam Style' sensation Psy.

It was a hectic weekend for Jelena, but Gomez is fine and Bieber apparently still cares enough about Selena to make his chauffeur wait for her at the hospital.  Not exactly chicken soup and flowers, but it'll do.
