Nick Cannon's "Wild 'N Out" is set to return to MTV 2, due to popular demand.
Set to return to the airwaves in 2013, the show, entitled "Nick Cannon Presents Wild 'N Out" will feature Cannon giving the spotlight to some up and coming comedians, who are fighting for a chance to joint the show. Also, the updated "Wild 'N Out" will feature celebrities from earlier seasons of the show.
MTV2 and Cannon will be holding open auditions and casting calls through Cannon's production company NCredible.
The original show on MTV was created, written, produced, and hosted by Nick Cannon and was on from 2005-2007. The show features "improv battles" (like rap battles) between two teams and featured many famous celebrities like Kanye West, Lil' Wayne, and Katt Williams. It quickly became one of the most popular shows ever on MTV, until it was cancelled in 2007.
The show was riddled with controversy, however, and certainly took the "Wild" part of the title to heart. A March 2007 season 4 episode, which featured 50 Cent, was banned by MTV and MTV 2, due to a lot of profanity and sexual innuendoes by participants. But, of course, that's what made the show so entertaining. Unfortunately, the newest season of "Wild 'N Out" will tone down the use of X-rated comedy in the newest season, according to screenrant.com.
Nick Cannon's "Wild 'N Out" will hit the airwaves sometime in 2013, and will be on MTV 2.
