Kristen Stewart had "Twilight" fans in a tizzy this past weekend when she revealed that she "can't wait to be a mom." Don't worry though Robert Pattinson fans. Stewart is not pregnant with a baby vampire.
Rumors started swirling (again) about a pregnant Kristen Stewart when the 22-year-old actress sat down with reporters for the release of "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2." At a press junket in Los Angeles on Thursday, Nov. 1, Stewart opened up about her own future "Renesmee."
"Dude, no," Us Weekly reports that Stewart told reporters when asked about having children. "I can't wait to be a mom, but like, no. I can wait."
While Stewart can wait in real life to play the role of mom, she'll be tackling it much quicker on screen. "Twilight" fans will remember in the first installment of "Breaking Dawn" that Stewart's character, Bella Swan, had a very difficult pregnancy that resulted in the birth of half-vampire/half-human Renesmee. In "Breaking Dawn -- Part 2," Stewart's character will be playing the role of momma bear to Renesmee (Mackenzie Foy), whose life is in danger due to the Volturi.
"I think that it might be something that you're born with or not born with," Stewart continued to reporters on Thursday. Some people have really, really strong natural instincts and desires to be a mom. That was one of my favorite aspects about the story."
It seems that Robert Pattinson, 26, didn't mind playing a parent on-screen either.
"I actually quite like working with kids and I like working with animals, which everybody says you shouldn't do," Pattinson, who plays vampire Edward Cullen, revealed to reporters. "Especially working with a baby is great. I would say, put a baby in every scene."
While Stewart "can wait" to be a mom, her and Pattinson seem to be back on the right track after splitting this past summer. Despite Stewart's affair with married "Snow White and the Huntsman" director Rupert Sanders, the couple have appeared to have reconciled. According to the Huffington Post, the "Twilight" couple are even planning on adopting another dog. The pair previously adopted a dog from a New Orleans shelter named Bear.
"The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn -- Part 2" hits theaters on Nov. 16.
