weight loss is often a long process and Jessica Simpson is gradually shedding her post-baby weight.
The 33-year-old mother was spotted sans baby Maxwell drew in Santa Monica, Calif., on Thursday flaunting her noticeably trimmed gams and wearing her signature daisy dukes -- which she elevated with a sexy pair of red skyscraper platform heels.
Simpson - who is a spokeswoman for Weight Watchers has been fairly vocal about her struggles to lose weight since giving birth to her cherub daughter.
"I'm not a supermodel." She told USA Today. "My body is not bouncing back like a supermodel. I'm just your everyday woman who is trying to feel good and be healthy for her daughter [Maxwell, 4 months], her fiance and herself, I feel like everybody can do what I am doing."
"Nobody wants to talk about their weight. For me, I have had to come to a place where I am comfortable with myself," Simpson continued. "I'm a mom now, and get to be a role model for this beautiful little girl."
No matter what her size, Simpson can always count on fiancé Eric Johnson, to adore every bountiful curve. "The fact that he loves me the way I am right now -- we're set. He knows I want to feel better in my skin."
The southern belle has admitted to losing "weight every single week," but has not been depriving herself -- she indulges her cravings, in moderation, of course. I don't "believe in completely depriving yourself. . . I'm a woman who wants her chocolate." She said. " I allot myself a fun-size bag of M&Ms. I eat one of those, and my craving is satisfied. I don't need the whole bag of M&Ms."
However, Simpson did not follow the moderation rule during her pregnancy. "I had a buttered Pop Tart this morning," she once told "Extra" host Mario Lopez. "I'm eating a lot of stuff that I ate in my childhood. Kraft Mac n' Cheese, Pop Tarts, Cap'n Crunch. Everything's filled with sugar."
