Designer Valentino Garavani confirmed that the ethereal Anne Hathaway will be draped in his design when she walks down the aisle to fiancé Adam Shulman.
"She's a very good friend of mine," Garavani told E! News at the New York City Ballet's fall gala. "She's like my daughter."
Hathaway also attended the Gala and looked sublime in a floor length diaphanous floral gown and her hic Audrey Hepburn-inspired haircut.
Hathaway's previous relationship was with suave Italian Businessman Raffaello Follieri - who was convicted of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering and sentenced to over three years in prison.
"We were talking about marriage," Follieri said in an interview in his native Rome. "I was very much in love with her."
Hathaway began dating Schulman in 2008 and claims "I am very much in love with him. I was really actually looking forward to a little alone time, and then I fell in love like a fool!"
The talented actress told Vogue Magazine, "We hit it off immediately, but it took us a pretty long time to get together. He thought that I had a boyfriend, and I thought that he had a girlfriend, so I thought that I'd better keep my distance because I didn't want to be that girl."
The couple are very down to earth and enjoy the simpler things in life. "We have house parties and dinner parties and just hang out," Hathaway told USA Today in August, adding, "I'm so delighted by my boyfriend. He's all the things you want a partner to be. I so find joy in his presence."
The actress revealed that her husband-to-be designed her sizable engagement ring. "Adam did work with us to design a ring that he knew Anne would love," Jewelry designer Greg Kwiat told People Magazine. "He had a very strong vision for what he knew Anne would love."
