Katie Couric is one foxy cougar. We bow down to any lady who can rock a gray wig, and make it look sexy and oh so elegant.
Wednesday's episode of "Katie" was dedicated to hair, specifically, about encouraging women to style their mane in the way they feel most defines them -- despite what others think.
"You may think I'm a natural blonde, but guess what I'm not. In fact, my hair is really mousey brown and nowadays it's more gray," Couric, 55, revealed on the show. "So, I've always wanted to see what I would look like with gray hair . . . also how it made me feel."
Couric donned her grey wig and decided to parade around the streets of NYC, asking strangers about her new hair -- which was a similar cut to her current style. One gentlemen didn't seem to pleased with the new hue as he grimaced at the sight of the wig.
At first, she was hesitant, asking, "Do I look like Cruella de Vil?" but by the end of the experiment seemed to have embrace her silver disposition."I worried that it would make me feel older, but I kind of feel sexy in it," Couric said, her eyes sparkling.
What would a show about wigs be without wig aficionada and host, Wendy Williams? Off course, the TV personality decided to share her varied wig collection.
"For the most part, I always wear a wig. They're part of me," Williams said. "I wear one when I go to the gym."
And she even names them. We don't think that's odd at all. (ahem)
"My 'Gale King' wig is the one that I wear to the gym," she shared. "Except I'm a long versus a short, so therefore, when I wear a short it's because, you know, I'm either very menopausal or I'm going to the gym and I'm going to be sweating."
