"New Girl" fans love how kooky Jess is, but were you ever curious how she got that way? Wonder no more because season two will be giving viewers a taste of where Jess comes from.
TVLine reports that Jamie Lee Curtis and Rob Reiner will be guest starring in season two of "New Girl" as Joan and Bob, Jess' (Zooey Deschanel) parents.
According to Entertainment Weekly, Joan and Bob are divorced and will have a run in at Jess' loft that she shares with Nick, Winston and Schmidt. By the sound of it, the pair may not get along that well. Jess won't let her parents live a quiet life away from each other though, and hatches a plan to try to reunite them romantically over Thanksgiving dinner.
Curtis and Reiner will make their appearance in an episode airing in November. Fans of the Fox series should also be aware that the term "parent trap" is being thrown around with Joan, Bob and Jess.
Besides a "meet the parents" in season two, viewers will get to feast their eyes on a family member of Schmidt, his cousin...Schmidt. The other Schmidt will be played by former "Daily Show" correspondent Rob Riggie, reports TVLine.
"New Girl" fans can also look forward to some new challenges facing Jess...unemployment! It's reported that the beginning of the season will find the elementary school teacher getting laid off.
Catch all the drama and laughs when "New Girl" returns to Fox for its second season on Tuesday, Sept. 25.
