Rihanna has gotten yet another tattoo. This time her latest art work is in honor of her beloved late grandmother Clara "Dolly" Braithwaite, who succumbed to cancer this past July.
Following her performance at Sunday's Paralympics Closing Ceremony in London, the singer took to Instagram to reveal a giant portrait of the Goddess Isis with wings fully extended underneath the expanse of her breasts.
"Goddess Isis- Complete Woman - Model for future generations- #GRANGRANDOLLY - always in and on my heart #1love," wrote Rihanna, 24.
According to US Weekly, the daring crooner was spotted exiting a tattoo parlor in London's SoHo neighborhood Saturday with bandages covering her chest and has nearly 20 tattoos.
Rihanna was reportedly very close to her grandmother and visited her in a NYC hospital days before her death. "Goodbye #grangranDolly get your beauty rest until I see you," a grief-stricken Rihanna wrote after her grandmother passed, concluding with, "#grangranDolly that is all."
Chris Brown's mother, Joyce Hawkins, expressed her condolences to the singer via Twitter. "@rihanna ANGEL MAY GOD BE WITH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY IN YOUR TIME OF SORROW. LOVE YOU ANGEL," in which Ri Ri replied, "@mombreezy thank you!" "Love You Angel."
Brown wasn't far behind, "Praying for family and the lost loved one. She was like my grandmother. Love you GRAN GRAN! RIP, " wrote the embattled rap star.
Rihanna seems to be on a roll this week. This past Thursday she revealed her new chic haircut at the MTV Video Music Awards and planted a huge smooch on ex-boyfriend Chris Brown - who has a girlfriend.
"Her hairstyle typically changes depending on what's on our agenda, what she's wearing, or how she's feeling," stylist Ursula Stephen said of Rihanna's ever changing style. "We take it day by day and event by event, and usually will both bring ideas to the table. It's always a collaboration."
