The youngest of the Kardashian brood, Kendall and Kylie Jenner, bypassed their first week of school to blaze down the runway of designer Sherri Hill on Friday.
The burgeoning fashionistas looked utterly feminine and age appropriate in their vivid dessert-hued, flirty dresses. Kendall, 16, strutted down the catwalk in a cropped-top and blue voluminous whimsical skirt and younger sister Kylie, 15, looked equally sweet, as she sashayed in a pink cocktail dress and loose, cascading curls.
Kendall has worked with Hill before, just last year, the towering teen modeled a series of stunning sequined gowns for the designer. "We shot over two days and I got to wear the most gorgeous prom dresses and work with a really great team." She wrote on her website about the experience.
Although she received much praise from her older sisters, critics questioned the appropriateness of a swimwear shoot the then 14 year old shot in 2010. The teen later defended the mature photographs, saying, "Going into this shoot, it was never my intention to be provocative or too racy. It was a beach shoot, and I was wearing beachwear. I am happy with my age, and am not trying to rush into anything too soon. I look forward to all the milestones my teens have to offer-Sweet 16, turning 18, and so on."
Luc Brinker, Kendall's agent from renowned modeling agency Wilhelmina, came to her defense, reassuring critics the young Kardashian is indeed following an age appropriate path. "Kendall exudes such a high level of confidence and know how for her age." He told People magazine in a released statement. " I'm sure that it comes from having such a great family that gives her endless support and is constantly encouraging her to shine. I think it's the most important thing that a young models can have."
Kendall and Kylie have admitted to Oprah Winfrey how much they enjoy raiding their older sisters' closets, and can now count on just one more person to satisfy their sartorial urges, Kanye West, Kim current beau - who launched his haute fashion line at Paris Fashion Week last fall.
"He's actually given me some of the stuff from his line that I actually really like," Kendall told E! news. "I've talked to him a lot about it. He gives me advice on my car all the time. He's bringing us into a new style."
