After accusing ex-wife Heidi Klum of cheating with Martin Kristen, her bodyguard of four years, Seal is withdrawing his statement.
"Seal would like to clarify that he was not implying his wife was cheating on him while they were together," A spokesperson for the 49-year-old crooner said in a released statement. "But rather he was pointing out that they are separated and the divorce is not final so they are legally still married."
While exiting a Los Angeles airport a few days ago, seal told the gossip website TMZ, "I would have preferred Heidi show a little bit more class and at least wait until we separated first before deciding to fornicate with the help, as it were." Adding, "But I guess you now all have the answer that you've been looking for for the past seven months."
A rebuttal from Klum's rep was soon released after the allegations were made, telling US weekly: "It is sad that Seal has to resort to this kind of behavior and spread these untruths about the mother of his children."
Following the aftermath, a remorseful Seal blamed jetlag for his loose lips, "These guys bombarded him and were in his face. He was exhausted," an insider told TMZ, "which is why he wants to clarify what he said. . . He doesn't like now being made into the bad guy here -- he always loved and cared for Heidi."
Klum was recently spotted vacationing in Sardinia with Kristen, sparking rumors of a courtship. Of their relationship a close friend of the German beauty told People Magazine. "It's complicated." Noting, "Their relationship is hard to define."
After seven years of marriage, Seal and Klum announced their split mid-January and filed for divorce in April. They are proud parents to Leni, 8, Henri, 6, Johan, 5, and Lou, 2. The couple began dating in 2003, while Klum was pregnant with daughter Leni, who is the biological child of Italian businessman Flavio Briatore -- Seal later adopted the little girl in 2009.
Marriage is no longer on the supermodel's to-do-list, "I don't know if I'll get married again," she told a German publication.
