Bajan singer Rihanna and "Coldplay" frontman Chris Martin, are poised to perform their popular hit single 'Princess Of China' at the London 2012 Paralympics closing ceremony.
They also rocked the stage together at this year's 54th annual Grammy Awards, "My friends @ColdPlay and I will be sharing the stage for a performance at this years Annual Grammy Awards!" the excited 24-year-old wrote, later adding, "WE reached 2BILLION views on @youtube !!! THANK U!!! I'm in a great mood, and I got some GREAT NEWS!!! PRINCESS OF CHINA #GRAMMYS2012."
According to the Daily Star, the two lyricists were spotted in a secret rehearsal for the much-anticipated London show.
"All the Closing Ceremony details are top secret but Rihanna has already started rehearsing," a source told the publication "As soon as Coldplay signed up she was the obvious choice to accompany them on stage."
Coldplay will dominate the stage as they will be performing a few of their chart topping hits for the 'Festival of Flame' ceremony on Sept. 9.
"The Closing Ceremony is basically a glorified Coldplay Concert," added the source. "They will hardly be off stage."
"They may only be getting paid a £1 to perform but they will make a fortune in royalties as their music flies up the charts afterwards.''
In a video interview in 2011, Martin revealed Rihanna's appearance on "Princess Of China" was the "Highlight" of his entire album.
"Because we put the whole thing through as a story and there's a boy and a girl part, we thought 'who would we like to play the part of the girl?' 'Princess Of China' was very much a back and forth, a duet."
"Top of our list was Rihanna. Bottom of our list was nobody else. We waited about a year and a half to pluck up the courage to ask her. That's my favourite bit of the album. It's the only bit I can bear to listen to because I'm not on it." said the shy rocker.
Also adding: "She has such an amazing voice and it's so different from mine."
