We at Celebeat are loving the ever-outspoken rocker Pink, as the newest face of Covergirl. The "M!ssundaztood" singer is anything but a cookie cutter beauty, she's edgy, at times rebellious and as it turns out, easy breezy!
Pink is super excited to represent the iconic CoverGirl brand. "Joining a group of women who have always inspired me - to laugh out loud, let my guard down, or play around with my beauty look - is such an honor," the new mother said in a released statement. "I have a lot to celebrate. I called my new album The Truth About Love, and the truth is that I have my beautiful family and baby girl, my new music and now my partnership with CoverGirl to love."
CoverGirl vice president and general manager Esi Eggleston Bracey, is just as excited to have her onboard. "Pink is a powerful and provocative role model, who has always been an advocate of individualism and making no apologies for who you are," added Bracey. "We love the energy and confidence that she radiates, and the fact that inside and out she's as cool as she looks. She's an awesome addition to our CoverGirl family."
Previous cover girl beauties include Taylor Swift, Sofia Vergara, Drew Barrymore, Ellen DeGeneres, Queen Latifah, and Canadian Olympian Mary Spencer.
Most people would think twice before getting into a squabble with Pink, but for those still not convinced of her toughness, take heed! "He's a full-contact-karate, Vietnam-vet, guerrilla-warfare-type dude," Pink told Newsweek about her father Jim Moore. "He taught me how to shoot guns, how to use knives, how to break wrists. When boys chased girls in kindergarten, no one chased me or i'd beat 'em up."
Maybe she's not quite so easy breezy, but she's definitely a CoverGirl!
Pink, whose real name is Alecia Beth Moore, is married to her long-time love, motocross racer, Carey Grant. They welcomed baby girl Willow Sage Hart, in June 2011.
