Like a scene from an action flick, a swat team rushed to Miley Cyrus' L.A estate with weapons drawn, after an anonymous caller reported a home invasion.
When officers entered the premises, they found an empty home with no evidence of an attack.
As it turns out the pop tart was a victim of the 911 prank called "swatting," which is when a caller falsely reports a crime to authorities.
L.A police officers are currently attempting to track the anonymous caller who claimed he heard shooting in Cyrus' property after it had been raided by kidnappers. They believe the perpetrator used his/her cell phone to contact 911 operators.
"A home invasion is one of the most intense crimes you can respond to," LAPD Cmdr. Andrew Smith told L.A. Now. "The possibility of armed suspects puts our officers in a high-risk situation, which could have disastrous results."
If convicted, the caller may face a year in jail.
