Demure British actress Kate Beckinsale turns 39 today! And has nary a wrinkle to designate her years. The Oxford educated stunner looks as fresh-faced as when she just hit the Hollywood scene in the 1993 film, "Much Ado About Nothing."
So how does Beckinsale maintain her age-defying curves when she has publicly admitted that she's not a fan of the gym? She is apparently a yoga fanatic. "I don't go to the gym. I'll go occasionally and do the treadmill, but I've completely converted to yoga at least five or six days a week. If I'm away, I'll Skype with my yoga teacher." She said regarding her workout routine.
Another way the English rose has kept off the pounds is by not indulging on alcoholic beverages. "I've never really mastered the drinking thing." Said Beckinsale. "They made me hold a glass of champagne on New Year's Eve because they said it was unlucky to toast with a glass of water."
Beckinsale is known for wrestling with guys twice her weight on the big screen and it seems like hand-to-hand combat is a staple in her home life as well. The actress has tussled with her brothers on quite a few occasions, especially about her sexy Hollywood image. "This whole notion of being named Sexiest Woman Alive is going to earn me quite a beating," she told Esquire magazine. "You can't have that title with four brothers. I'll get wedgies. Headlocks. Noogies."
We're guessing nothing keeps the body looking trim like some good ole' fashion family throw down.
"If you're any kind of a human, you know the title is utterly ludicrous." She added "But I like the idea of it, too. I do. I'm feeling that I must earn this. I need to go out and become much better at pole dancing or something."
Beckinsale admires Queen Latifah's bounteous curves and would trade figures with her, anytime. " If I had them, I'd run up and down a flight of stairs!" she told Glamour magazine about the award-winning actress' cleavage.
The "Underworld" starlet can be seen in the upcoming remake of "Total Recall," which is set to be released on August 3rd of this year.
