Jennifer Lopez Spends Her 43rd Birthday With Boyfriend Casper Smart

With her "American Idol" days behind her, Jennifer Lopez, 43, is spending her free time in the company of her much younger beau, Casper Smart, 25. The Diva welcomed another year in New York City with the back-up dancer.

The twosome exited their hotel hand-in-hand on their way to dine at Nobu. Lopez seemed in good spirits and was draped in a lengthy nude and white dress, and Smart looked casual in a black t-shirt, white pants and combat boots.

One of the reasons why we adore Lopez is that despite all her failed relationships, she still looks forward to love.  "Sometimes it doesn't work-and that's sad. But I remain an eternal optimist about love. I believe in love," Lopez said regarding her split to ex-husband Marc Anthony. "It's still my biggest dream. I am positively determined to move forward with my life, bring up my babies, and do the best job I can as a mother, entertainer, and person. I now look forward to new challenges. I feel strong."

Lopez still holds much respect for her former flame. "We actually work great together, and he was always very supportive. She said shortly after their much publicized divorce.Together we could make magic -- and we did. He will always be in our lives. He will always hold a special place in my heart as the father of my children."
