Andrew Garfield has endeared himself to American audiences as the supportive and ultimately double-crossed best friend in 'The Social Network' and now as the superhero who is great with kids in 'The Amazing Spider-Man.' Still, as sweet as Garfield seems in his films, he isn't immune to celebrity feuds and it looks like one is shaping up between Garfield and 'Twilight' star Robert Pattinson.
The two actors actually have a lot in common when you look at their respective biographies. Both are in their late twenties (Garfield is 28, Pattinson is 26). Both were raised in England (and therefore boast British accents that can make their American fans swoon). Both are even dating their famous co-stars. Still it looks like the two actors aren't eager to hang out and swap set stories, and there are many theories as to why there appears to be so much tension between them.
Some suspect the two are competing for the same parts and that's what's causing the rift. Others point to Garfield as the one who put up the wall between them with a source telling Us Weekly, "Andrew considers himself a 'serious actor' and sees Rob as the equivalent of a cheesy boy bander because of 'Twilight.'"
If Garfield's distance is because of a lack of confidence in Pattinson's acting chops maybe if he's impressed by Pattinson's performance in the upcoming film 'Cosmopolis' they could begin a friendship. Right now, however, it looks like Spider-Man and the vampire won't be forging any alliances with each other.
