Scarlett Johansson is already one of the most sought after actresses in Hollywood, and she's about to get even more covetable. The blonde bombshell has been offered a massive $20 million to reprise her role as the Black Widow in the "Avengers 2," reported the New York Post.
If she accepts, she will earn $1 million more than what Angelina Jolie received for the 2010 thriller "The Tourist."
In retrospect, $20 million is chump change when you consider how much money the original "Avengers" movie raked in at the box office. The superhero flick grossed $1.355 billion worldwide, more than the last installment of the Harry Potter series, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2."
While shooting the "Avengers," Johansson often failed to recognize the magnitude of the movie and the effect its release would have worldwide.
"You think you're a part of something, and you read the script and you're like, "Whoa, this is massive." Actually, when we're on set and we're shooting, other than the sets, it doesn't feel really huge, unless you're doing a scene where all of us are together and we're there in the scene all against Loki. All of sudden you notice that everyone from Marvel is there and they brought their kids and the set is full of people. Everyone just has this excitement on set, and that's when you're like "Whoa, this is big." You can kind of feel the weight of it," she said in an interview with MSN.com.
