Sad news for Usher's ex-wife Tameka Foster, her 11-year-old son, Kyle Glover, is in critical condition after being struck in the head by a jet-ski on Atlanta's Lake Lanier. Glover was with an unidentified 15 year-old girl, who was also injured, the extents of her injuries are not known.
According to Department of Natural Resources Sergeant Mike Burgamy, the jet-ski was operated by a 38-year-old male who was not under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident. It has not been reported whether he will face charges.
The children are currently receiving care at the Children's Healthcare at Egelston Hospital in Atlanta.
Upon learning the terrible news, Usher placed his bitter legal issues aside, and arranged for a jet to fly Foster to her injured son.
"My kids take precedence over business; however, I do business for my kids. I want them to know that their mom works and she's independent." I have to leave a legacy for my sons, so that eventually when I go on to glory they have the savvy to keep it going. I definitely want to birth an entrepreneurial spirit within them. I don't believe in silver-spoon children and you will not see my boys hanging on a beach all day, posing for paparazzi," said Foster in an interview to TheGrio.com.
Usher and Foster have received some much needed support from their peers.
"Everyone please pray for Usher and Tameka's son! This is the time they really need your prayers," R&B singer Fantasia Barrino tweeted.
"praying Usher and Tameka's son is ok..." said a concerned Russell Simmons.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Usher and Foster. We hope Glover makes a full recovery.
