Prince Andrea Casiraghi is poised to marry Tatiana Santo Domingo, his girlfriend of seven years.
Princess Caroline of Hanover, released a statement about what we are sure will be a lavish nuptial. "I have the joy to announce the engagement of my son Andrea Casiraghi to Miss Tatiana Santo Domingo."
Tatiana is no ordinary commoner, like her soon-to-be husband, she comes from a privileged family, and has always traveled in the same circles. Her father was the late Julio Mario Santo Domingo Jr, the second richest man in Colombia.
Tatiana has been making a name for herself in the fashion industry. The 28-year-old beauty recently launched a label called Muzungu Sisters with partner, Dana Alikhani.
"I knew early on in life that I would have to find a job that enabled me to travel," Santo Domingo said, "and after meeting Alikhani, came up with the idea of sourcing hard-to-find fashion and accessories from the remote corners of the globe. "I studied human rights in Columbia University, and I believe what we are doing is an extension of that."
With all her wealth, Santo Domingo is pretty laid-back, often seen strolling about wearing casual attire with her prince.
"You don't always have to be in top-to-toe designer," Santo Domingo added. "You can have a pair of designer trousers, then put on one of our Peruvian alpaca jumpers and wear it to a club. We want people to see that you can mix and match-you don't have to go total hippie, even though," she laughs, "oftentimes I do."
Prince Casiraghi is said to be second in line for the throne, until his uncle Prince Albert II of Monaco, produces an heir with wife, Charlene Wittstock.
