'Homeland' actress Claire Danes, is expecting her first child with fellow actor, and husband Hugh Dancy. The multi-talented star is looking forward to motherhood, just last year she told People magazine that a baby may be upon the horizon, "that would be fun," said Danes. "And very grown-up."
Danes, and Dancy wed in France, in 2009. Their "Evening" co-star Mamie Gummer, who attended the charming ceremony revealed, "I was there when it was happening and it's something that I will never forget. "I'm incredibly happy for them. They are perfect for each other."
Danes received a Golden Globe for her critically acclaimed role "Temple Grandin." In the film, she portrayed an autistic woman, who later goes on to earn a Ph.D in animal science.
"The New York Times states, "Ms. Danes is completely at ease in her subject's lumbering gait and unmodulated voice. She makes Temple's anxiety as immediate and contagious as her rarer bursts of merriment, laughing too loudly and over and over, as she re-enacts a scene from a favorite television show, "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." And as the character ages and learns more social graces, Ms. Danes seamlessly captures Temple's progress."
She received rave reviews from Temple Grandin herself. "Watching her was like going into a weird time machine back to the sixties and seventies," she said. You would never know it was Claire. Right now I'm looking at a magazine with beautiful Claire on the cover and I'm going how did she turn into me? It's like really, really weird."
