Tom Cruise And Katie Holmes Divorcing! Katie's Attorney Releases Statement

It seemed like an odd ball marriage from the beginning...but Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise are divorcing! Married in November 2006, the Scientology couple, who share daughter Suri, have been together for almost five years.

Holmes's attorney, Jonathan Wolfe, released a statement to People.com:

"This is a personal and private matter for Katie and her family. Katie's primary concern remains, as it always has been, her daughter's best interest."

Perez Hilton reports that the famous couple have a prenup, and Cruise and Holmes are both worth approximately $275 million.

Suri Cruise is now 6 years years old. While this is Katie Holmse's first marriage, this is the third for Tom Cruise. Cruise was previously married to Mimi Rogers and Nicole Kidman. The actor shares two children with Kidman.
