'The Vampire Diaries' Season 4 Spoilers: Cast And Crew Talk What's Next

Season three of "The Vampire Diaries" left such a wicked cliff hanger that all we can think about is what will happen in season four!

As fans of the CW series know, Elena died in the season finale when she forced Stefan to rescue Matt from the water before coming back for her. Little did we all know, but Elena had been slipped vampire blood earlier that day when she was admitted to the hospital after collapsing.The season finale ended with Elena opening her eyes...as a vampire.

Elena's unexpected and shocking transition into a vampire stirs many questions, one being -- Did Elena know she had been treated with vampire blood when she refused to let Stefan rescue her before Matt?

HollywoodLife.com got their hands on "Vampire Diaries" creator Kevin Williamson, and lucky for us, he was more than happy to spill a little season four details on Elena.

"It's going to be very emotional," Williamson said of Elena's transition into a vampire. "I'm loving the journey that the writers are creating for her. I think [executive producer] Julie Plec and the writers are doing a great job."

Even more important than Elena's new life as a vampire is who the forever teenager is going to want to spend eternity with. In the season finale Elena chose Stefan, but will becoming a vampire change her mind about Damon.

"It's really going to open up both relationships between Paul and Damon in a brand-new way," Williamson teased to HollywoodLife.com. "Her relationship with each of them now take a whole new dichotomy...and more importantly, [we'll see] how it changes things between Stefan and Damon."

While Elena's "death" at the end of season three was a shocker, we can't forget that Bonnie worked with Klaus so that when he was staked by Alaric, he would take over Tyler's body.

Fortunately actors Joseph Morgan (Klaus) and Michael Trevino (Tyler) have no problem dishing on what to expect from their characters next season. The duo spoke with DigitalSpy about the issues that could grow from the Klaus-in-Tyler body issue.

One problem that is bound to rise in season four is Tyler's girlfriend Caroline, the blonde vampire that Klaus just happens to have a thing for. Trevino revealed that odds are Klaus is going "to probably take full advantage" of his situation in Tyler's body.  The actor believes that Klaus would do something along the lines of ruining Caroline and Tyler's relationship or even trying to mack on her.

Morgan meanwhile hopes that Caroline will find out that Klaus is in her boyfriends body WHILE he is still in it.

"I'm excited to see how many more days off work I can get while he does my job for me," Morgan joked.
