We have a lot of questions surrounding "The Walking Dead" like:
- What caused the zombie apocalypse?
- How is everyone a carrier of the zombie strain?
- Why does Lori even bother 'watching' after Carl anymore?
And the most important question...What happened to Morgan Jones and his son Duane?! We haven't heard from those two since the pilot!
Lennie James, who plays Morgan on the AMC series is set to star in a new BBC One drama called "Line of Duty." Luckily for "Walking Dead" fans he took some time in the middle of promoting his new show to talk about what people really want to know -- if his story line from the pilot will ever get wrapped up.
Since the pilot was ages ago you might not remember that Morgan Jones and his son Duane were the two survivors that helped Rick adjust to his new life in a zombie-ridden world. While Rick moved on to find his family, Morgan stayed behind with his son, finding it difficult to leave his walker wife. When Rick and Morgan parted ways they kept walkie-talkies to use for future attempts in meeting up in Atlanta.
Fans of the series will have to wait a little bit longer to find out if Morgan and his son made it out alive because Lennie James tells DigitalSpy.com that he can't match up his schedule with the "Walking Dead" filming schedule.
"It remains a possibility I could return," he told the website. "The character I played is away for a long time, so it's kind of up to them whether I stay away or if I come back."
Lennie James isn't completely in the dark from the "Walking Dead" crew.
"There have been a few back and forth conversations and they check up on me every now and then," he revealed. "There's a possibility I might go back. It just depends on timing-wise if I'm free."
Turns out they already contacted James about returning. "I was busy doing something else, which I think was actually 'Line of Duty.'"
We know that Morgan doesn't return until much later in the comics, but here's hoping that the next time the "Walking Dead" people contact Lennie James he can take a hot second to feed plot hungry fans.
If you want to check out James in a role that does not include any zombies you can watch "Line of Duty" when it airs Tuesday, June 26 at 9 P.M. on BBC One.
"The Walking Dead" returns to AMC this fall.
