Guess which boy band is making a comeback? We already know that Backstreet's back (alright!), and NSYNC has no plans in the future of ever reuniting, so that leaves 98 Degrees.
Future dad Nick Lachey and his brother Drew confirmed that their getting the group back together...for one night.
The brothers made the announcement on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" this morning, informing listeners that 98 Degrees will be performing at the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, P.A. in August.
According to MTV, Nick Lachey had shot down rumors in April that the foursome would be jumping on the road this summer for a tour, but he did leave fans with this..."#neversaynever."
"I think we've all been lucky in the 11 years since we last performed together to go on and do stuff individually," said Nick on "On Air with Ryan Seacrest."
For example:
-Justin Jeffre went on to become a political blogger for the Cincinnati Beacon. Since 98 Degrees he also made a attempt to become mayor of Cincinnati (he failed). Jeffre was also arrested in 2011 during a Occupy Cincinnati protest.
-Jeff Timmons released a couple solo albums after 98 Degrees took a break. He also appeared on a VH1 reality series in 2006 with other former boy band members from NYSNC, LFO and Color Me Badd. Like former band mate Jeffre, Timmons was also arrested, except his arrest occurred in March 2006 when he was pulled over going 60 in a 45 and found to be driving drunk and without a valid license. Timmons also had a short stint at Chippendales.
-Drew Lachey has kept busy appearing on Broadway and was even on the second season of "Dancing With The Stars," taking the crown with dance partner Cheryl Burke.
-Unless you've been living under a rock we all know what Nick Lachey has been up to.
"We're very excited about the opportunity, and we've been toying around with the idea for a couple years of, 'If we got back together, when would be the right scenario,' and this music festival right here just kind of seemed like the right time to get back together and do a show and kick the tires and see how it feels," Drew continued.
Nick wants to be sure that fans understand that the 98 Degrees appearance at the Summer Mixtape Festival is strictly "Uno Noche."
"I just wanted to make sure that [fans] understood that a full tour wasn't happening this summer," Nick reiterated, "but obviously very excited to announce that we're doing this big festival in Hershey in August. So, that will be our one and only appearance."
Will you see 98 Degrees on their "Uno Noche?"
