'Iron Fist' Star Jessica Henwick Preferred Colleen Wing Over Nymeria Sand; 'Game Of Thrones' Season 7 To Open With Character Death?
There is little doubt that Jessica Henwick is going places right now after landing the role of Nymeria Sand in "Game of Thrones". However, it looks like the "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" actress was ready to leave the character behind when her schedule clashed with her hit show "Iron Fist". Does Henwick prefer playing Colleen Wing, who has proven herself to be a true equal to Finn Jones' Danny Rand? Could this mean that the end is near for the Sand Snake in "Game of Thrones" Season 7?
Jessica Henwick recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly about struggling to keep up with her hectic schedule as she filmed "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and "Iron Fist". According to Henwick, she was warned by that Nymeria Sand "will just disappear" if she doesn't show up in Belfast. Luckily, the "Star Wars" actress managed to make things work, going as far as working during the Christmas holidays. However, Henwick also admitted that she was ready to give up on the Sand Snake in favor of Colleen Wing.
"I'm not going to lie, a part of me was like, ‘Maybe I shouldn’t do it … maybe Nymeria does just disappear!'” Jessica Henwick stated. However, the "Iron Fist" star was quick to explain that she decided to brave her unforgiving schedule so fans will now what happened to Nymeria Sand in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Nevertheless, it still sounds like Henwick is more fond of her Marvel character Colleen Wing, who is set to appear with Danny Rand in "The Defenders".
But could this mean that Nymeria Sand's appearance in "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be short-lived? There are speculations that Jessica Henwick will only appear in the first episode and will be killed off immediately. Unfortunately, it is possible that the Sand Snakes will be the first casualties in the new season. Find out if Nymeria survives when the series returns to HBO on July 16.
