People are still waiting for "The Winds of Winter" but now it looks like there is one new thing to look forward to in the highly anticipated novel. There are speculations that George R.R. Martin may have decided to give Lyanna Mormont her own chapter in the sixth "A Song of Ice and Fire" book. Will "TWOW" feature a few pages written from the Lady of Bear Island's point of view?

There is little doubt that Lyanna Mormont was one of the surprise highlights of "Game of Thrones" last year. Although the Lady of Bear Island has been mentioned sporadically in "A Song of Ice and Fire", the feisty little girl won the hearts of thousands of viewers when she proclaimed Jon Snow as King in the North. Is it possible that George R.R. Martin has noticed Lady Mormont's growing fanbase and is already writing a special POV chapter for her in "The Winds of Winter"?

There have been speculations that Lyanna Mormont will play a large role in the future of "Game of Thrones" as well as "A Song of Ice and Fire". After all, she has already proven herself as a trusted ally of Jon Snow in the TV series. It is possible that George R.R. Martin will give the Lady of Bear Island more pages and her meeting with Jon, Sansa Stark and Ser Davos Seaworth could be written in her POV. However, it is still unclear if Lady Mormont will be one of the POV characters in "The Winds of Winter".

Fans can expect to read more about Lyanna Mormont in "ASOIAF". In the meantime, the main concern is just how soon George R.R. Martin will complete "The Winds of Winter". CeleBeat has previously reported on the possibility that the author is stepping away from the "Game of Thrones" spinoff shows to focus on his novel, which could be published by the end of the year.
