'Supernatural' Season 14: Mark Sheppard Bids Goodbye to the Show; Series Will Have a 'Scooby-Doo' Crossover
English-American actor Mark Sheppard is best known for his role as the demon/King of Hell, Crowley on The CW's fantasy horror TV series "Supernatural." The show received mixed or average reviews when it first premiered. Critics say that although some of its dialogue was too-hip and the thematic elements were common, the show's vigilante brothers succeed in bringing some real frightening scenes. Recently, the actor bid goodbye to the show and posted a heart-rending message to his fans on social media.
In an Instagram post, Sheppard sent a heartfelt message to all his fans and crew for his time in "Supernatural." "So to all my #spnfamily everywhere... my crew and my fellow storytellers... thanks for the ride. Time for something new. Even when I lose...," the actor wrote. Crowley was one of the major characters who expired during the season finale. As Deadline points out, the demon/King of Hell sacrificed his very own life just to put an end to the gap that has been dividing the worlds.
Sheppard first appeared in "Supernatural" in 2009 and became a series regular in season 10. In January, the fantasy horror series was renewed for a thirteenth season and his fans were looking forward to see him again in the upcoming installment. However, with the recent events that happened in the season finale, fans were heartbroken seeing him leave the series.
It seems that Sheppard will no longer be a regular character in "Supernatural" season 13 but fans still hope to see him in the next installments. "NO! You better come back to life! I had no idea you were actually leaving the show!!! This isn't The Walking Dead! People come back to life on [the show]!" a fan commented on his post on Instagram.
Many " Supernatural" fans are heartbroken with Sheppard's departure from the show but others are hopeful that he would be revived in season 14. Meanwhile, Entertainment Weekly reports that the series will have a crossover with "Scooby-Doo" in the next installment. CeleBeat will provide more updates about the series soon. Stay tuned.
