Ben Higgins & Lauren Bushnell Split: What Went Wrong & Where Are They Now?
Fans were extremely confident that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell's relationship will last despite the underwhelming rate of successful marriages that came out from "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette." However, the popular couple just can't seem to shake off the curse of the show and headed to Splitsville just like most of the other contestants.
"The Bachelor" season 20 stars shocked the world when they announced their split through a joint statement early this week. Many were still hoping that Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell will work whatever issues they have but it seems like their whirlwind romance suddenly came to a screeching halt.
“It is with heavy hearts that we announce our decision to go our separate ways,” Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell told People in an exclusive joint statement. “We feel fortunate for the time we had together, and will remain friends with much love and respect for one another. We wish nothing but the best for each other, and ask for your support and understanding at this time.”
Although Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell finally revealed the fate of their quick engagement, the duo remained tight-lipped about what went wrong that led them to call it quits However, the show's resident host, Chris Harrison, shared to iHeartRadio's ON With Mario Lopez his thoughts that seemingly answered the "what went wrong" question, as per E! News.
"I know that they have struggled with the show and then kind of continuing on and doing their reality show and kind of where the show stopped and then where life began," “The Bachelor” host said. "So I know they were fighting through a bunch of stuff."
Despite their shocking split, Lauren Bushnell proved that she has no time for self pity as she revealed her future plans after her very public breakup with Be Higgins. The 27-year-old flight attendant told People that she is moving back to SoCal and will pursue modelling. Ben Higgins, on the other hand, stayed under the radar for now.
