'Dragon Ball Super' Manga Artist Shares How the anime Series Ends; Anime Launches a Website Allowing Fans to Create Their Own Characters
Akira Toriyama's "Dragon Ball Super" has been one of the best anime series in history and as most fans feared, it should meet its end one day soon. The series is among those that received numerous nominations and accolades with its animation quality being praised the most. It has been received by many fans and critics positively, where experts say that the anime's debut episode was greatly delivered as a slice of life. It was also praised with its laid back plotline and as the anime's end is getting close, manga artist Toyotaro gave everyone an idea as to how the popular anime series ends.
At the Napoli Comicon in the city of Naples, Italy, "Dragon Ball Super" manga illustrator Toyotaro and creator Akira Toriyama both shared their insights on the anime's fate. "We are preparing the ground to direct Dragon Ball Super into the original "Dragon Ball Z" ending," Toyotaro said. He went on to say that the anime series is being placed six months following Kid Buu's defeat and will also showcase the ten-year time skip events after the manga's chapter 517.
According to Saiyan Island, it's uncertain whether or not "Dragon Ball Super" will go beyond "Dragon Ball Z." Meanwhile, the anime series now has a website that allows all fans to create their very own characters in partnership with Kirin. Comic Book reports that the website is completely written in Japanese although it appears to be a social website.
"Dragon Ball Super" fans can make their own characters, have them personalized and fight against the other fans' created characters through social media. Fans can also earn points and get qualified to receive special prizes from Kirin. If there are enough points collected, a miniature 3-D model of a fan's personalized character will be created by the company.
Do you have anything to share about the future of "Dragon Ball Super"? What character would you create in the new website? We'd love to hear from you!
