'The Defenders' Villain Possibly Confirmed As Elektra Natchios, Daredevil Leads Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist Against Black Sky [VIDEO]
It's no secret that Daredevil will play a large role in "The Defenders" as he joins Iron Fist, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage. However, it looks like Matt Murdock's past will catch up with him in the highly anticipated Marvel series. A new promo for the Netflix show has just confirmed that Elektra Natchios will be one of the major villains this August. Can the Devil of Hell's Kitchen lead his new friends in a fight against Black Sky and The Hand?
The return of Elektra Natchios has long been confirmed to be in "The Defenders" instead of the third season of "Daredevil". However, some fans are still hoping that Matt Murdock's ex-girlfriend will choose to work with Daredevil and his new allies. Unfortunately, it looks like Elodie Yung will be playing the dark version of Elektra known as Black Sky. Could Matt manage to fight the villain and help Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist defeat The Hand?
The new promo for "The Defenders" offers glimpses at the sarcophagus that Elektra Natchios' body was placed in in "Daredevil" Season 2 (via Twitter). A mysterious hand is also shown pouring blood into the tomb, a process that leads to the lid suddenly being pushed open. The caption even suggests that it will be Black Sky who will be coming out of the sarcophagus, leading to speculations that Matt Murdock will struggle to join the fight. Can Matt manage to focus and help Luke Cage, Iron Fist and Jessica Jones in the battle against The Hand?

Elektra Natchios and The Hand could play a large villainous part in "The Defenders" but they will not be the only ones. CeleBeat has previously reported on Sigourney Weaver playing the main villain, who will somehow solve the previous mystery in "Daredevil" Season 2. Find out if Matt Murdock, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist and Luke Cage can defeat Black Sky when the Marvel series premieres on Netflix on August 18.
