"The Young and the Restless" may see the return of Michael Muhney as Adam Newman. While there have been a lot of rumors surrounding the actor's return, a recent post on the actor's Twitter account can be taken as a hint that Muhney will return to the CBS soap opera.
A user asked Muhney if he can comment on the rumors surrounding his return to "The Young and the Restless." The actor neither confirmed nor denied on the rumors; instead, Muhney encouraged fans to send their pleas to the people in charge of the series.
Muhney also felt "humbled" by the countless tweets and messages he is receiving about the fans' hopes to see him back on "The Young and the Restless." The actor left the show and was replaced by Justin Hartley, but the latter departed the CBS soap opera to pursue a role in another show.
Should Muhney return to "The Young and the Restless" as Adam, this may help with Victor's issue with his family. As TVOvermind notes, Victor is trying to leave Genoa City now that Chloe spilled their secret about hiring her to kill Adam.
Now that Chloe admitted that she did not kill Adam, this leaves a lot of options open for Adam's return on "The Young and the Restless." Victor may, therefore, use this as some sort of redemption and a way to bring his family back together.
